This two-storey duplex in Five Dock is an exploration of warm minimalism, where restraint, clarity, and material depth shape a calm and considered family home. A muted palette forms the foundation, layered with texture rather than contrast, allowing the architecture and finishes to speak quietly and with confidence. Simple, elegant silhouettes define the interiors, creating spaces that feel composed, light-filled, and effortlessly liveable.

Materiality is expressed through artisan stone detailing and tactile surfaces. Botticino stone floor tiles ground the entry, hallways, and wet areas, while warm timber floorboards define the kitchen, dining, living spaces, and stairwell, bringing warmth and continuity to the heart of the home. Muted oak joinery, textured microcement walls, and extensive Breccia Capraia marble detailing introduce depth and refinement, with intentional moments of detail carefully placed to enrich the experience without visual clutter. Custom marble vanities throughout reinforce a sense of quiet luxury and craftsmanship.

Natural light plays a central role in shaping the home. Downstairs, the main living space flows seamlessly to an alfresco and pool, enhancing the connection between indoor and outdoor living. Upstairs, a pitched roof and tall raked ceilings draw light deep into the plan, sculpting the interiors and amplifying their sense of volume. The result is a home defined by calm, generosity, and balance, where thoughtful design elevates everyday living through warmth, light, and material honesty.
